Its equally important that along with having a career, one should stop and deliberate upon the life that one is leading. As one keeps rushing from one meeting to the other, it gives immense satisfaction but along with that it's also tiresome. So what is the life that one is wishing for?
Find out what is it that is most important to you. Family and friends are always present through the difficult times, and sometimes experience exciting times, independence and control to realize that there is more in life than just work. Try and have more time to understand what is going around you.
Simplify your life and do not only reinvent your life. Think of what is of greatest importance to you, architect your life around those core values, and remove all the clutter that doesn't serve any purpose. At the outset, think of what really important and before you start getting to simplify things, decide on what qualifies as a high quality life.
Our consumerist way of life seems to be contradicting the whole idea of simplifying. Over a period of time, we tend to accumulate a lot of stuff and the world outside starts thinking that the whole idea of our life is to find pleasure in material consumption. This goes beyond the material stuff. There is a satisfaction associated with collecting activities also. This way, we behave like rats that race from one end of experience to another. We are not nessarily satisfied, even though we feel we are important and needed.
From the plethora of stuff has emerged a movement of simplicity. We look like a hamster on a wheel when we keep working constantly. Majority of our income goes in meeting our expenses and we only save a little. The thought that life is short should be on the back of our mind.
We all need to architect an end goal, which will make us attain happiness. This principle can be applied in the day to day schedule. Take out time in your daily routine for new opportunities. One can attain effective time management, which is all about doing lesser things of great importance. Aptly, living a simple life is a philosophy.
Living life simply means unburdening our lives and making it more light and clean. The goal should be to create more rounded, simple and lateral relationships with all the key aspects of our life: which includes the activities we accomplish, bonding with people in our contact and our connections with the world at large. This is in a profound sense a life which is straight on the outside and rich inside.
For many people, living life in a simple fashion means catering to gardening needs, taking a walk in the park every afternoon or reading one's favourite books. By doing this, one tends to reduce the worldly possessions to ensure that one is never in a hurry. You can now focus on the world outside because you have lesser distraction to bother you now. Some people believe that life is all about gathering money and power. For people who have been focusing on the opposite, they know that everybody needs some time in the world to reflect, think and also get adventurous. Money and control are nothing in front of happiness in life. - 31955
