Improving brain memory naturally is easy

By Alyce LeBlanc

Improving brain memory naturally is a much better way than using harmful drugs that have, in some cases, very serious side effects. A failing memory is often hard to deal with and accept. It's yet another sign that we are getting old. It's very easy to understand that you are highly motivated to find some way to address your problem. You're in luck. There are several ways to improve your brain function and we will look at some here.

The brain really enjoys routine. Taking your daily habits and creating routines out of them is a very effective and natural way to start improving your memory. Do not be deceived by the simplicity of this technique. It works. Proper sleep is important to having a strong memory. Therefore, one of the first routines you can set is the bedtime one. Go to bed at the same time each night and wake up at the same time each morning.

Do you drink a lot of beverages with caffeine in it? Do you eat just before going to bed at night? If so, then believe it or not you are doing a disservice to your brain. Caffeine and eating before going to bed are going to make your brain even more alert when what it really wants to do is rest. Eating just before bed can make it difficult for you to sleep, and without rest in the brain is not going to work properly.

Did you know that a good game of solitaire or hearts is an effective way of strengthening your memory. That's right! You could be improving your brain memory naturally right now by enjoying a good game of spades against the computer. Playing card games for a half-hour to an hour each day is just enough to keep your brain in shape.

Improving brain memory naturally may not provide you with the results you are hoping for in a short period of time. This is especially the case if your memory problems are related to another problem, such as lack of sleep. If this is the case, then you may want to consider exercising as well. Exercising each day, like brisk walking or running, not only provides you with healthy exercise, but also will help you sleep better at night. In fact, if you don't regularly exercise then this might be the root of your problem as well. Work your way up to exercising at least an hour each day. You likely will find that not only will you sleep better, but your mind will also be much sharper and clearer. - 31955
