Why Become Clairvoyant

By Adrian Cooper

A clairvoyant is someone who has clairvoyance powers. These powers are sometimes referred to as extrasensory perception, the sixth sense or second sight, dates back to the 18th century. Historical writings are filled with tales of seers or prophets. These individuals were revered by the people. Prophecies were followed closely and powerful leaders often sought the advice of these clairvoyants to guide their actions.

The term clairvoyant is derived from French. Translated literally, it means clear vision. However, clairvoyance has can have many meanings. While visions may be a method of transferring messages to some clairvoyants, others may hear messages, read signs or simply listen to their inner voice.

Of course, as is to be expected, no two clairvoyants are the same, in that as individuals, they all have different levels of skill. However, the majority of them have adequate power to be able to have a glimpse into the future and this is why they can make their services available to others. In fact, those which have exceptional skills have demonstrated that they can even view things which have taken place in the past, or move beyond the living in order to communicate to with those which have past away.

It is believed that everyone is born clairvoyant. However, due to the tendency of society to stifle anything that doesn't fit within the norm, few people actually get the opportunity to develop their ability. The ones that do are often children of clairvoyant parents or adults who have taken the time to train their clairvoyance skills, whether through self-study or tutelage from an accomplished clairvoyant.

Those who start out usually do so by learning how to meditate because medication allows one to get rid of stress and negativity, just as it allows you to open your mind. By having an open mind you'll be better prepared in order to receive messages from the universe. In fact, this is so important for a clairvoyant that most of them will dedicate at least 30 minutes each day in order to practice medication in a calm, quiet environment.

Those in training are encouraged to clear their mind and not attempt to force clairvoyance. In some ways, a clairvoyant is like a person looking for a lost set of keys. Once the mind is cleared and the person is no longer struggling to find the keys, they are found.

As their powers begin to develop many then begin to include several other methods of clairvoyance, such as reading palms, interpreting Tarrot cards, or reading tea leaves. The main reason for doing this is that it can help them understand the messages they receive.

You need to bear in mind that the more your skills develop the more you'll end up relying on your instincts, and as such, they become an integral part of your powers. This instinct which is often referred to as the 'inner eye' is perhaps one of the most powerful tools a clairvoyant has at their disposal. In fact, many people have an inner eye which manifests itself by giving us what some refer to as a 'gut feeling'. Most people have at some point instinctively known that something bad or good was about to happen. However, unlike clairvoyants, average people pay no attention to such feelings, let alone embrace them, and it's only by embracing them that it becomes possible to develop clairvoyance.

Your attitude and environment will play a large role in your ability to receive messages. When negativity and chaos exist, it is difficult to clear the mind. Clairvoyants should seek to have a calm, soothing atmosphere. Feng shui may be used to better direct the flow of energy through your home or work space.

The use of aromatherapy or crystals will help cleanse the area of negative energy. Many clairvoyants practice yoga to help calm the spirit and unlock the power within. Hypnosis or aura cleansing may be necessary to fully rid the mind and body of negativity.

Interestingly enough, clairvoyants are not mystical people who hide away from society, but instead, they can follow several paths with regards to their line of work. In fact, clairvoyants are often called upon by law enforcement agencies in order to provide assistance in solving crimes and to help find missing people. Likewise, many have used their skills and powers in order to establish a career, such as by writing books, appearing in television documentaries, and making predictions in magazine columns. Alternatively, some clairvoyants earn their living by offering readings, either in person, over the phone, or via the Internet. - 31955
